_*Certified Medication Aide*_*Department: *_*Medical*_*Reports to:**Facility/Company:**Effective Date: *_*2/22/2022*__*Job Summary:*_The position of the certified medication aide ensures that all inmate/detainees have the proper dosage and distribution of medication._*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*_* Maintains stock of drugs, ensures that storage of drugs follows prescribed conditions of temperature and humidity, and verifies that all drugs are labeled properly.* Prepares daily medications pack for offenders.* Distributes medication and instructs offender in proper application/consumption of medication.* Records each distribution of medication in offenders medical file.* Performs other related duties as required._*Required Knowledge Skills/Abilities:*_* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.* Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software._*Education and Experience:*_* High school diploma or equivalent* Candidate can have no experience but must hold a current Medication Aide Certificate* Valid Drivers license required_*Physical Requirements:*_The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
