Construction Superintendent Position Overview The Traveling
Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage construction
projects across various locations, ensuring that renovations and
constructions, particularly at airports, are executed efficiently
and in compliance with relevant regulations. The role requires
frequent travel to job sites to monitor progress, manage
subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project scopes and budgets.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage all aspects of
construction projects at various sites, primarily focusing on
renovations. Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure
timely delivery of services and materials. Review and interpret
construction plans, specifications, and building codes to ensure
compliance and quality standards. Develop and maintain project
schedules using tools such as Procore and MS Project (P6). Conduct
regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety
regulations, and meet project milestones. Facilitate communication
between stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and
regulatory agencies. Manage project budgets, ensuring that
expenditures align with financial forecasts and project goals.
Oversee the submission and handling of RFI's (Requests for
Information) and submittals to maintain project flow. Lead crisis
management efforts on-site to resolve issues swiftly and minimize
project disruptions. Ensure compliance with public health
regulations and educational standards throughout the construction
process. Qualifications Proven experience as a construction
superintendent or similar role, specifically in renovations and
airport construction. Strong understanding of construction
management principles and practices, including knowledge of
facility management and stakeholder engagement. Experience with
project management software such as Procore, MS Project, and
Primavera P6. Familiarity with construction plans, specifications,
and applicable building codes. Excellent leadership and team
management skills, with a focus on compliance and safety
regulations. Strong negotiation and crisis management capabilities,
with a proven track record of budget management and forecasting. -
