We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.General Responsibilities:

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Continuously improve software engineering practices
• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
• Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and groovy, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services
• This person will be responsible for managing the support channels for the Pulse platform.
• This will include responding to questions via Slack, Pulse, the Intake Form & Email.
• Ensuring that users get timely and accurate responses.
• Providing office hours and one-on-one support to help content creators get started or to answer specific questions.
• Providing a weekly Pulse 101 training for new content creators.
• Creating & updating Pulse Help resources to facilitate user self help.
• Becoming a subject matter expert on LumApps site design and knowledge management best practices.
• Working with end users to understand their needs for new Pulse sites and help them reach their goals. Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 4 years of experience with AWS
  • At least 2 years of team leadership experience Preferred Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience with AWS
    • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript
    • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Location is New York City: $160,200 - $182,800 for Lead Platform Engineer Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
