excellent opportunity exists within the Material Estimating
Organization as a Principal Material Estimator. The estimating
organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of
proposals for development, production and competitive contracts
including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the
Estimating Organization supports gate reviews, government audits,
and negotiations with the customer. What You Will Do Be responsible
for the development, analysis and completion of material proposals,
creation of the Material Cost Summary (MCS). Work with other
functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the
material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
and the associated program Utilize company estimating and pricing
programs and tools Lead the development of Material Basis of
Estimates to include tracking progress, validating and analyzing
supplier quotes and Purchase Order History, ensuring consistency
across the program, and confirming the estimating approach is sound
Ensure proposals comply with all FAR and internal requirements
often as the only material point of contact Assess, develop and
implement solutions leading to a thorough material package Perform
detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness in our
material estimates Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires
a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or
an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years
experience Experience with MS Office, ex. Excel (i.e. basic
formulas, macros, look-up, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)

work well in teams, with peers and management Strong oral and
written communication skills Demonstrated ability to consistently
meet deadlines in a schedule driven environment Knowledge and
experience with proposal development, price buildup, and estimating
and pricing processes Knowledge of and/or experience with federal
proposal regulations including but not limited to: FAR, DFAR, TINA

who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This
includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are
essential to the development of our products. As part of our

designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this
role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a
good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
considers several factors when extending an offer, including but
not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities,
a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and
key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits,

programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of

role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a
U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will
