Job Description The Risk Mitigation Team is a newly developed team and offers an exciting opportunity with exposure to the Experian risk and compliance teams. The Risk Mitigation team supports the My Customer Experience (MCE) service center, which is both a call center and mail processing center. The Issues Management role is a first line of defense role. The Issues Management Coordinator (IMC) will be responsible for ensuring the MCE meets all requirements of the Experian Global Issues Management Policy/Standards. The IMC is expected to improve and simplify current issues management practices and strive for a better future state. The IMC will work collaboratively with the other risk mitigation team members to ensure issues are properly remediated and closed timely. The IMC will take initiative to create relationships with the process owners and compliance oversight leaders throughout the business. The chosen candidate will perform the Issues Management activities and support other risk mitigation activities for the MCE: Primary function: * Perform Issues Management activities for the Experian MCE. * Serve as issue coordinator for the MCE. * Work collaboratively with business partners in the issue escalation and remediation process. * Supports tracking of potential issues and ensures all new issues are opened in Archer (system of record) according to policy. * Ensures all issues have a remediation plan prior to soft target date and are remediated prior to hard target dates. * Leverages critical thinking skills to help determine if remediation is complete and validated. * Provides weekly issues management updates. * Collaborates with second line of defense compliance on all issues. * Ensures all Archer issue logs are updated and compliant per policy. Secondary functions: * Participates in risk related meetings and discussions, to include regulatory, compliance testing, and technology. * Supports the other risk functions of the MCE Risk Mitigation team as needed. Qualifications Knowledge of the Issues Management process in a 3 line of defense risk structure and experience with coordinating small to medium projects that involve multiple stakeholders across a matrixed organization. This role requires understanding and experience strictly adhering to policy and procedures and providing credible challenge to front line business leaders. Experience in compliance, legal, audit or risk management (2-3 years) Experience coordinating multiple unrelated projects or initiatives simultaneously (2-3 years) Experience in a highly regulated field in a risk mitigation role (example: financial services) (2-3 years) Experience in a role that supported issues management or direct experience (2-3 years) Knowledge of privacy and consumer laws and regulations, particularly UDAAP, FCRA, and GLBA Strong communication and collaboration skills Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships across the organizations Ability to manage through change, drive and deliver results under tight deadlines.
