Diamonds College is currently seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track for the position of Director of Education. In this role, you'll use your skills and experience to ensure excellence in staff and students alike.
The school Director leads a team of instructors and support staff in providing the best innovative, personalized learning experience for students. They utilize their knowledge of instructional best practices to support the staff in facilitating self-directed instruction that adheres to local and federal guidelines, as well as the Diamonds' Model.
With strong leadership skills, the school Director will guide teachers in creating a safe and effective environment for learning and conduct periodic evaluations to identify areas that need improvement. As the campus leader, they will represent the school at conferences and other events, networking with fellow administrators and instructors to remain abreast of relevant advances in innovative, personalized learning. As a key player in the school's discipline, they will also exercise conflict management skills with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities Include:
Continuous improvement of student SAP
Evaluate and make changes as needed to curriculum per TDLR requirements
Communicate and interact daily with students, teachers, and administrative staff.
Review policy, procedures, and student data such as diagnostic test results, state assessments scoring, transcripts, and grade point average.
Coordinate monthly calendar for demos by outside presenters and instructors
Advanced knowledge of federal and state education laws
Responsible for correspondence between Diamonds and Department of Education, Council of Education and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
Promote and increase student enrollment through marketing avenues, social media, etc.
Present business classes for students on marketing success with social media, business cards, etc.
Supervise instructors in accordance with Diamonds' policies and applicable laws.
Train and assist instructors in teaching classes
Interview and recruit for available staff positions
Plan monthly staff meeting, and schedule advisory meetings
Be available to fill in when an instructor is absent
Always provide management coverage
Support best practices, problem-solving, collaboration among team
Implement the Diamonds teaching model
Evaluate the performance of staff, reward, and discipline employees according to Diamonds' policies and procedures, and address and resolve complaints and problems
Develop and evaluate educational programs to ensure conformance to state and federal standards.
Develop and coordinate educational programs through meetings with staff, review of teachers' activities, and issuance of directives
Manage the day-to-day teaching operations of the school and handle any issues related to the school
Regularly check facility and property to manage maintenance, safety, and security.
Meet regularly with General Manager and other central staff to discuss school progress, review data, develop processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all district and state mandates
Requisition and allocate supplies, equipment, and instructional material as needed and ensure that purchases remain within budget.
Maintain expertise on all school events, projects, policies, processes, and procedures to disseminate to owners.
Manage oversight of proper business and budget practices
Oversee the coordination to accomplish the goals of the school by ensuring all parties are working together
Assist General Manager with management of administrative operations and leadership functions related to school leadership initiatives
Perform special projects, during and after normal business hours, and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Cosmetology / Esthetics Diploma or Associates Degree a plus
Minimum of two (2) years of for-profit school experience
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Microsoft Office experience is required: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Problem-solving abilities and basic technical troubleshooting skills
Exceptional social interaction skills
Proven leadership and management skills
Strong multitasking abilities
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and work a flexible schedule
Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude
