Canyon Creek is a 2 doctor veterinary hospital located in Sherman, Texas. We are seeking an experience practice manager to join our team.Summary of Role and Function:Work with a family-owned group of practices modernizing and innovating the veterinary industry. This is a leadership position with tremendous growth potential in an established and growing practice inThe primary responsibility of the Practice Manager is to work closely with the senior veterinarians, support staff, and with central leadership, provide the highest quality medical, patient, and client care. Overview:

  • Work closely with Chief of Staff to lead and manage the support staff team
  • Perform managerial duties such as inventory, HR, manage protocols, maintain OSHA compliance, performance evaluations, and training
  • Help create and drive a culture of teamwork, employee growth, and compassion for all patients and clients
  • Receive mentorship and support from experienced Regional Director of Operations
  • Create an environment that provides clients with an unmatched veterinary care experience
  • Lead and inspire the support staff to go above and beyond for every patient and client
  • Work with central leadership to optimize workflow, enact new processes, and drive initiatives
  • Support the chief of staff in delivering high medical standards and quality of care for every patient
  • Maintain a community presence via participation in local events
  • Work with central leadership to ensure effective marketing strategies Skills and Basic Qualifications:
    • 1 - 3+ years of veterinary practice management experience or veterinary supervisor/managerial experience (inventory management, HR duties, protocol management, etc)
    • 1 - 3+ years veterinary technician experience (certification preferred, but not required)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Enable the technical staff to best support the practicing the highest standard of medicine
    • The ability to delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members
    • The ability to coach, correct, develop, and motivate employees
    • Demonstrates excellent time and task management
    • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients
    • Hands on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
    • Strong relationship building skills
    • High energy, passion, and drive to be successful
