Resource Manager is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end
processes for assessing hiring needs, and fulfilling the
requirements of clients by hiring the right people, at the right
time, at the right cost. The Cat Resource Manager is also
responsible for the continued engagement of the roster.
Responsibilities
- Directs the creation and strength of qualified candidate pool
with competencies and attributes needed to contribute to business
goals and support client needs. Directs all of the functions that
deal with the needs and activities of the catastrophe organizations
people, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, leadership; employee
relations and team building. Responsible for recruitment of
catastrophe adjusters onto Crawford Catastrophe Services roster to
match client demand. Maintains the continuous roster engagement
plan.
- Identifies and applies other selection techniques or metrics
(competency based interview, assessment centers, and other
selection tools and criteria) that would be beneficial for the
improvement of the screening/interviewing process. Continually
identifies and executes on redesign and improvement initiatives to
our recruitment, on-boarding and roster management processes.
- Administers on-boarding compliance training using our in-house
training systems.
- Maintains procedures and identifies candidates by location,
expertise, and state and local license/certification for rapidly
assembling standby teams to respond to catastrophic events. Selects
and deploys qualified adjusters based on the needed expertise to
Service Center locations and CAT Field offices. Manages the
allocation of candidates according to job specification during
catastrophic events or deployments. Collaborates with CAT team
during deployments to match qualified adjusters with specific
experience to client expectations. Assists in planning and
implementing project assignments by determining client staffing
requirements. Maintains a computerized database of all potential
qualified adjusters including areas of expertise, work history,
assignments completed, performance evaluations, and personal
information
- Directly manages CAT Resource personnel and/or administrative
functions and allocates staff to support functions. Leads and
mentors the Cat Resource Coordinator team to effectively partner
with business leaders to achieve results in support of the business
initiatives including recruitment, employee relations, problem
diagnosis and resolution. Conducts and compiles annual review of
CAT Resource Coordinators. Maintains training of CAT Resource
staff. Ensures that exit interview forms are completed on each
project member upon completion of an assignment and forwarded to
CAT services in a timely manner
- Partners with CAT HR Business Partner to ensure legal
compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human
resources federal and state requirements; conducting
investigations; maintaining records. Assists and advises company
managers on Human Resources issues and general inquiries. Advocates
for both the company and people who work in the company.
- Develops systems and processes within the organization that
addresses the strategic needs of the business. Assists with
implementation of systems input and database management within CAT
Services.
- Attends industry conventions in order to gather information and
gathers information and promotes Crawford and Catastrophe Services
as the employer of choice for CAT adjusters.
- Participates in special projects or performs other duties as
requested.
- Develops an employee oriented company culture that emphasizes

- Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct. Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Must possess at least two years of experience in catastrophic
industry/events.
- This position would be in continual interaction with all levels
of operational and human resources staff.
- Interaction is also required for internal and external clients.
This includes but not limited to branch service centers.
- The decision making process has a significant impact on the
company as managing the talent pools directly drives the ability to
meet client expectations.
- Good communication skills.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
- Basic knowledge of Crawford products and services.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, exhibit flexibility, meet
deadlines through appropriate prioritization and decision-making
skills.
- Good computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
