Overview

The Application Architect will play a pivotal role in software development activities and long-term initiative planning and collaboration across the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. Software Engineering is the cornerstone of scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo's value chain. This leader will establish an end-to-end vision of the overall application design andprovide technology leadership to the application architecture in terms of focus, technicaldirection, and breadth of coverage of relevant technologies.

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.

  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
    
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

    Qualifications
    
    
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    • Master's or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
    • Minimum of10years of relevant software development and engineering leadership experience
    • 7+years of experience on architecting fault tolerant, high scale distributed systems
    • Commanding knowledge of data structures, algorithms, andobject-orienteddesign
    • Working knowledge of programming languages beyondC#,Java, C or C++ (e.g. Ruby, Python, Perl)
    • Experience withAzure, Google Cloud,Amazon Web Servicesand cloud specific PaaS and SaaS solutions
    • Experience with mission critical, 24x7 systems
    • Experience with high throughput cloudnative distributedsystems
    • Experience implementing and consuminglarge-scaleweb services
    • Deep knowledge of design patterns
    • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React-Redux or otherfront-endframeworks
    • Full stack engineering experience
