Position Description:

Develops and supports reusable and scalable chat and e-mail applications. Develops customer-facing Web applications. Develops Java RESTful services and middle-tier, multi-threaded applications according to Agile methodologies. Develops solutions, using Java, JavaScript, Node, Spring, JPA, JDBC, and Hibernate framework. Performs application build, deployment, and support using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for technical initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams to define and implement application level architecture.

Converts High Level Design (HLD) into Low Level Design (LLD).

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems.

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on future initiatives.

Advises senior management on technical strategy.

Mentors junior team members.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience developing customer interaction experience software within a financial services environment, using Java, Javascript, Node, and Spring.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing customer interaction experience software within a financial services environment, using Java, Javascript, Node, and Spring.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing and supporting reusable and scalable chat and e-mail applications, using Java, Javascript, Node, Spring, JPA, JDBC, and Hibernate.

DE developing Java RESTful services and middle-tier, multi-threaded applications according to Agile methodologies, using Java, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks; performing application build, deployment, and support using CI/CD tools (Jenkins); performing configuration management, using Git Stash; and performing Test Driven Development (TDD), using Unit/Junit testing techniques, Veracode, uDeploy, and SONAR.

DE creating test automation via distributed application development, using middleware technologies (Rest, Web Services, JAVA, HTML, Java Script, and Spring).

DE writing clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code; deploying chat and e-mail applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS); scheduling processes on a daily or weekly basis and moving data from one database to another using Batch Processing; and hosting and running on premises or cloud infrastructure.
