Deep Clean Technician Durant Clinic Description Evening Shift Pay- $15.95 Hourly This position is subject to the Temporary Emergency Standard for Covid-19 vaccination ruling and all employees will have to demonstrate vaccination or have a religious or medical exemption on file. Job Summary: The Deep Clean Technician is tasked with cleaning that goes beyond the normal day to day cleaning operations of the EVS staff. The Deep Clean Technician shift will vary due to times with fewer guests and associates so they can execute deep cleaning duties in high traffic areas Primary Tasks: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; Floor scrubbers, shampooers, sweepers, buffers, steam cleaners, escalator cleaners and lifts. Follow approved cleaning practices with proper chemicals within SDS guidelines. High Work: remove dust and cobwebs from vents, ceiling tiles, signs, ledges, fixtures, windows, wall hangings and light fixtures. This often involves working overhead and operating a scissor lift to access inaccessible areas, usually at heights of 40 feet. Floor Maintenance: cleaning and removing stains from fabric or carpet; shampooing, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and buffing machines. Deep Cleaning: windows, doors, walls, ceilings, closets and fixtures in offices, restrooms, breakrooms, public areas, back of house, stairways and hallways, often using ladders or stools to clean hard to reach areas, in order to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive facility always. Cleaning and polishing of metalwork/stainless steel such as fixtures, fittings and elevators. Answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary. Expected to take initiative to immediately clean or correct problem areas. Reports emergencies and maintenance needs to supervisor. Other duties as assigned within scope and competency of the associate. Required Education, Skills and Experience: MINIMUM High School Diploma or GED Ability to work nights and weekends. Ability to multitask while working independently with little or no supervision. Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods. Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance. General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry. Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience Attention to detail, self-motivated, time management skills, trustworthiness.
