Position: RN-Rehab/Long Term Care ­Job Details To provide the direct or collaborative supervision in conjunction with other delegated clinical/administrative staff necessary to charge nurses, clinical nursing staff, nursing educator and Certified Nurse Specialists,and CWN/CWOCN so that efficient and effective utilization of all resources a safe and therapeutic environment is provided for patients within the program. The CNO is available to program staff to assist with crisis situations, consumer relation issues, ongoing education and staff development. Serves as nurse executive Works in collaboration with other management staff regarding facility operations, program development, marketing, and financial planning. Participates in organizational executive level decision making To participate in the programs and the facility's monitoring of Performance Improvement/Program Evaluation goals Plans and coordinates with the Administrator utilizing other respective department managers for planning the budgeting requirements for personal performance of work, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for cost control to ensure maximum effectiveness of funds expended upon the approved Departmental budget.Requirements: Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, and intervention with rehabilitation/medical patients. Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side effects. Knowledge of milieu management. Ability to delegate responsibility to other staff and monitor their performance. Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures as appropriate. Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with patients and their families. Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation. Skills in initiation or and ongoing documentation on nursing care plan. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Current Wisconsin State Registered Nurse License.
