Job Description:

Internal Medicine opening in Denison, Texas. Texoma Medical Center, a 333-bed acute care facility located one hour north of Dallas, is hiring a Chief Medical Officer. The Chief Medical Officer serves as a key member of the hospital s senior leadership team who has administrative responsibility for the practice of medicine at the facility. The CMO will participate with hospital leaders in formulating strategic planning and accomplishing institutional goals and objectives including creating alignment with the medical staff in accordance with medical staff bylaws, hospital policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Provide overall direction for the hospital s patient safety and quality improvement program
• Provide leadership in the development and growth of hospital clinical programs including the identification and recruitment of physicians to support those programs
• Provide direction, consultation and assistance to clinical departments and hospital administrators in evaluating and implementing new clinical programs or changes in existing programs
• Assures effective and efficient delivery of quality medical care consistent with the mission and vision of organization
• Serves as the primary liaison between medical staff and administration and provides planning, and direction, leadership and integration for Medical Staff functions/activities in order to foster communication, transparency, teamwork and strategic implementation. Ideal candidates will have a medical degree form an accredited medical school and possess at least five years of practice experience. A Physician Executive advanced degree is preferred, or previous administrative/leadership experience. Texoma Medical Center is a 333-bed regional medical center with a staff of over 200 physicians. TMC s main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth. In addition, Texoma Medical center operates a number of locations throughout the Texoma region. The hospital offers major specialty services, including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources, such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center.
