Position Qualifications
* Associate's Degree Nursing required
* BSN (preferred)
* 1 Year of experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting
required
* 2 years of experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care
setting preferred
* RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Required)

The Charge Nurse role will communicate and collaborate with all

This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units

Delegation - Understanding of the need to effectively delegate
tasks to others and the ability to empower and motivate associates
to take over tasks and responsibilities to accomplish results for
which the manager maintains ultimate accountability.
Customer Interaction - Knowledge of the principles and techniques
of communicating with a customer; ability to utilize practices,
tools, and techniques for customer interaction.
Patient Safety - Knowledge of and experience with tools, techniques
and practices for ensuring a safe and harm-free environment for
patients; ability to recognize risks and take steps to minimize
them.
Care Coordination - Knowledge of the medical, social, economic, and
other services provided by other departments or facilities, and the
ability to integrate these multidisciplinary treatments for optimal
patient care.
Clinical Policies and Standards - Knowledge of all clinical
standards and policies set for a healthcare environment; ability to
use industry standards, policies and procedures in the processes of
clinical practice.
Patient Rights - Knowledge of principles and practices associated
with the rights and responsibilities of patients and caregivers;
ability to apply these theories to identify, report, deal with and
prevent patient rights violations.
