Job Description Interventional Radiology/Neuro Special Procedures Technologist Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better Together Sign-On for Eligible New Hires WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Plano is located at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093 WORK SCHEDULE: FT, 40 Hours; 10 hour shifts, 6:30am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday with rotating days off; On call required (Must live within 30 minutes of Texas Health Plano) NEURO SPECIAL PROCEDURE DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS: • Newly built Second Hybrid Neuro room • Comprehensive Stroke Certification • Ability to cross train within Heart & Vascular • Employer-sponsored specialty certification for Interventional Radiology available to enhance training and professional development WHAT YOU WILL NEED: • Associate Degree Applied Science required OR • Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required Or • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required. • 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred. • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire required And • GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire preferred OR • RCIS—Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist—Obtain within 6 months of hire if graduated from Cardiovascular Accredited Program • LMRT—Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist—If you have RCIS certification only • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required. • ACLS—Advanced Cardiac Life Support—within 90 days of hire required WHAT YOU WILL DO: • Imaging Quality and Processing: • Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam. • Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations. • Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique. • Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
