What you'll be doing Application Developers are responsible for creating or modifying application functionality to meet the needs of our internal and external end-users. Using the roadmap defined by the IT department's management, Application Developers design code changes to meet requirements, test the changes to ensure quality, and release those changes in a continuously-integrated environment that minimizes downtime. Application Developers create and modify database schemas to support the data that run the applications and configure the servers that need to run the application code safely and efficiently. Work with management and end-users to understand project requirements Design and execute well-tested application and SQL code changes, independently or as a team Document changes using code repository and ticketing system Troubleshoot reported application issues Configure applications to run securely in a Windows desktop and/or web environment What your background looks like Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills Self-motivated, able to proactively search for and independently test solutions Fluent in C#, JavaScript, and SQL Strong understanding of relational database design and efficient index usage Proficient with HTML and CSS usage in modern web applications Basic understanding of Git/code repository functionality Basic understanding of web infrastructure and server operation Must be proficient in working in a Windows environment, including: remote desktop usage, performance monitoring, permissions, and basic network troubleshooting. Minimum Education and/or Experience: High school diploma Demonstration of development skills via portfolio, public repository, or references Experience in a professional office setting PerksDuring this pandemic, all Experian employees are working remotely. Once it's safe to do so, we'll slowly return to our offices however we are in no rush to do this.
