Job Location: Greenville, TX or Hybrid. Responsibilities may be
performed remotely for one day per week depending on the current
demands of the program.
Job Description:
The Sr. Associate, Software Engineer will work daily in an Agile
development team environment with other software engineers to
develop, maintain, test, and integrate software in lab and target
environments.
Essential Functions:
- Support and participate in all phases of the software
development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design,
implementation, integration, and test
- Investigate and resolve defects
- Research and apply new software concepts
- Work with system engineers to implement and demonstrate new
capabilities
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
concepts and principles in the development of software for the
target application
- Develop software test procedures, software programs, and
related documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant
experience
- OR Master's Degree with a minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant
experience
- OR Associate's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant
experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
Electrical Engineering
- Experience with designing, implementing, debugging and testing
in C++ or Java in a Linux environment
- Ability to ensure designs are in compliance with
specifications
- Ability to prepare and produce releases of software
components
- Ability to support continuous improvements by investigating
alternatives and technologies and presenting these for
review
- Additional Software development experience with one or more of
the following programming languages: C, Python, JavaScript,
Bash
- Experience with designing and performing software unit tests,
integration tests, and regression tests
- Experience with Google Protocol Buffers
- Experience in Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA,
Confluence, or similar
- Familiarity with automated testing and principles of
DevSecOps
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD
Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
