Job Description:

The Specialist, Software Engineer would work daily with multiple software engineering team members to develop, maintain, test, integrate software in development, integration, and target environments.

Essential Functions:

• Design, implement, and integrate software with languages such as C, C++, Python
• Investigate and resolve defects
• Evaluate change requests from stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • OR Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Active Top Secret or Top Secret Clearance
    • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
    • Programming experience
      • Strong C/C++, multi-threaded programming
      • Experience with one or more other languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript
      • Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
      • Experience with modern debuggers and version control systems (e.g. Git)
      • Good working knowledge of the Linux operating system (e.g. Red Hat)
      • Exposure to databases, user interface design, machine learning (ML), and/or statistical analysis
      • Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
      • Ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code
      • Ability to ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
      • Ability to prepare and produce releases of software components This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
