Data Privacy) Pay: $80,000-$100,000 annually Company Structure
CallonDoc operates as the flagship telehealth platform within a
broader umbrella company, which includes multiple subsidiaries and
product lines across healthcare delivery, technology, and related
services. As the organization scales, compliance oversight must
span: CallonDoc (core telehealth platform) Current and future
subsidiaries New products, services, and partnerships introduced
under the umbrella entity Role Summary The Compliance Officer is
responsible for owning and operationalizing compliance, privacy,
and regulatory governance across CallonDoc and its affiliated
subsidiaries. This role ensures the organization can scale
responsibly while minimizing regulatory, legal, and operational
risk across a multi-entity structure. This is a hands-on leadership
role that partners closely with executive leadership, legal
counsel, security, product, and clinical operations to embed
compliance into day-to-day decision-making. Core Mandate Protect
the organization while enabling growth across CallonDoc and its
subsidiaries. The Compliance Officer ensures compliance is:
Proactive rather than reactive Embedded across entities, not siloed
Practical, defensible, and scalable Key Responsibilities1.
Enterprise-Wide Regulatory & Healthcare Compliance Own and oversee
compliance across CallonDoc and all subsidiaries, including: HIPAA
(Privacy, Security, Breach Notification) State telemedicine
regulations Data privacy and protection requirements Ensure
compliance frameworks scale as new subsidiaries, services, and
markets are added Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership
on enterprise-wide impact Audit and update all documentation
related internal and external teams in relation to insurance and
legal. Oversee statewide compliance projects including state tax
filings, renewals, registrations; monitoring through a compliance
calendar that can be presented to senior leadership. 2. Risk
Management & Executive Advisory Identify, assess, and prioritize
compliance and regulatory risks across the umbrella company Serve
as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on risk tradeoffs
Review new initiatives (product launches, AI features,
partnerships, acquisitions) for compliance implications early in
the lifecycle 3. Policies, Controls & Governance Own compliance
policies and procedures across all entities Ensure policies are
consistent, practical, and enforced across subsidiaries Establish
clear internal controls, escalation paths, and documentation
standards Maintain audit-ready documentation for regulators,
partners, investors, and enterprise customers 4. Incident & Breach
Readiness Lead compliance coordination for security or privacy
incidents across the organization Maintain and test incident
response and breach notification playbooks Coordinate with: Legal
counsel Cyber insurance and breach response partners Security and
IT teams Ensure defensible, timely responses across all entities 5.
Training & Organizational Enablement Design and deliver compliance
training for: Leadership High-risk teams (engineering, operations,
support, clinical ops) Ensure compliance awareness scales as the
organization grows Foster a culture of early escalation and
responsible decision-making 6. Vendor, Partner & Enterprise
Readiness Oversee vendor and partner compliance across CallonDoc
and subsidiaries Support enterprise customer diligence, audits, and
security questionnaires Enable faster B2B and enterprise sales
cycles through strong compliance posture Support M&A or
partnership diligence as needed 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with: Executive leadership Legal counsel Security /
IT Product and AI teams Clinical operations Sales and GTM
leadership What This Role Is Not Not a purely administrative or
paper-based role Not a blocker to innovation Not a replacement for
legal counsel Not an IT security engineer Not a clinical leadership
role This role exists to enable responsible, defensible growth
across multiple entities. Qualifications & Experience 7–12 years of
experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, or regulatory
leadership Direct experience with HIPAA and multi-state healthcare
operations Experience supporting or overseeing compliance across
multiple entities or business lines preferred Experience with
privacy or security incidents strongly preferred Strong judgment
and ability to balance risk with growth objectives Background in
tech-enabled healthcare, telehealth, SaaS, or high-growth
environments preferred Relevant certifications (CHC, CIPP, CISSP,
etc.) a plus but not required Reporting Structure Reports to the
CEO Serves as compliance owner across CallonDoc and affiliated
subsidiaries Works closely with legal counsel and executive
leadership Success Metrics Reduced regulatory and compliance risk
across all entities Predictable, scalable compliance governance
Faster enterprise and partner diligence Clear escalation paths and
incident readiness Leadership confidence in compliance posture
