Come Join Us!KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.Develop new concepts of maintenance to eliminate or reduce major equipment failures and downtime.Identify and correct any chronic problem areas, using both on-site and off-site equipment expertise including expertise available at other II-VI sites, through a defined escalation plan.Coordinate maintenance activities with EES Manager and Production Supervisors to minimize any production delays.Provide necessary data for decision making and work with the equipment suppliers to improve data collection.Maintain a high degree of expertise with the group by assisting in the training and development of Equipment Technicians who are responsible for the repair, maintenance and calibration of existing equipment.Provide expertise and support in the selection, source inspection and acceptance of new equipment.Direct and supervise the installation of new equipment within the area of responsibility.Recommend equipment upgrades to improve quality throughput and safety.Develop and implement running PM programs to assist operations in proper tool set-up and monitoring of critical parameters on non-automated equipment.Experience repairing and calibrating DC power supplies.Strong mechanical skills required; HVAC experience is a plus.Maintain effective communications between equipment engineering, process engineering, quality/test and manufacturing to ensure optimal equipment availability.Participate in the Emergency Response program.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: (Include Education, Skills & Experience) Education and Experience ProfileMinimum A.A.S. degree in an Engineering, Trade, or other technical discipline.A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of semiconductor equipment. Working knowledge of front and back-end Fab manufacturing equipment including ICP, CVD, Wet Etch, Thin Films, Photo, Implant, EPI, Test Probe, vacuum systems, back grind, laser dice, etc.Required Skills and QualificationsAbility to troubleshoot to root cause and analyze collected data for continuous improvement.Strong mechanical aptitude skills.Working knowledge of Auto CAD or Solid Works. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project (or similar software).Must be a self-motivated individual with strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues and manage their daily work with minimal direction.Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with others.Possess internal customer service skills.Must be a team player willing to share knowledge and work with others productively to achieve team goals.Ability to read, understand and utilize equipment manuals.Ability to evaluate procedures and initiate improvements.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsMust be able to work in a class 100/1000 clean room, wearing full clean room attire, working with and/or around chemicals (such as acids and solids), gases (both hazardous and non-hazardous).Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours at a time.Must be able to lift 50 pounds or push/pull up to 150 pounds.Must be able to work a compressed shift (alternate between 3 and 4 consecutive 12-hour shifts weekly)Must be able to pass and maintain an ERT clearance through periodic physicals.We offer an attractive salary and an excellent benefits package designed to attract and retain individuals willing to accept the challenge and risk associated with being part of a successful company.
