The Director of Employee Engagement and Internal Communications, who arrived almost a year ago, has outlined her strategy in line with the priorities of Corporate, and has her department in four pillars:

  • Culture and strategy communications

  • Change communications

  • Internal editorial content

  • Internal channels (role to be recruited).

With the aim of strengthening Sanofi's internal communications, Sanofi is looking to recruit a Global Head of Internal Corporate Channels.


The future position holder will lead all corporate internal channels (internal social media, digital displays, internal emailing, ...) strategy and execution; manage the video production studio; and produce corporate events (mainly internal, in-person and virtual) as well as venues dedicated to these meetings.

Member of the Employee Engagement & Internal Communications (EE & IC) team, he/she will report to the Director of Internal Communication and Employee Engagement.

Key responsibilities

Manage (digital and in-person) Corporate events from a technical standpoint and the Video studio (50% of the role)

  • Manage the corporate event team (including a network of internal partners and, if necessary, external agencies).

  • Produce audiovisual content (filming and post-production of animated films, videos, fimed interviews, etc.)

  • Project manage major events (Annual General Meeting, CEO Events, Senior Leadership Team meetings, All-employee digital and in-person events, etc.).

  • Strategic planning / team coordination for digital and face-to-face events.

  • Coordinate internal communication & events at Sanofi HQ with connections to other key Sanofi site in Boston, Lyon, Gentilly.

  • Manage La Botie video studio, ensuring consistency and creativity around the production of corporate videos.

  • Set up and develop an internal video offer (shooting and post-production) for the EE&IC and Corporate Communications team (space, equipment, tools, expertise, etc.).

Define the strategy and processes of internal digital channels

  • Define the strategy of internal communication channels in partnership with the Internal Communication Content Manager and in line with the strategy of the Employee Engagement and Internal Communications (EE & IC) team.

  • Transform and define the strategy and processes of internal digital channels (Buzz, digital display, Yammer, events).

  • In partnership with the Head of Internal Communication Content:
  • Build and ensure the operational framework of digital channels: editorial strategy, editorial guidelines, process, visual identity, RACI, etc.

  • Define and build a complete digital / face-to-face event offer: spaces (studio / auditorium); team, digital tools, creative options, external partners, etc.

Develop new tools and digital channels to support employee engagement

  • Identify and introduce new digital channels taking into account new technologies and the consumption habits of Sanofi employees.

Manage a team of 5 people

  • Manage the team to engage, energize and lead.

  • Redefine the job descriptions within the team, setting up individual and team goals in line with the strategy of the function and the company.

  • Empower each team member in their professional development, performance, and the execution of their mission.

Measure the impact of engagement and instill continuous improvement mindset

  • Set up systems / tools to measure overall team activity in qualitative and quantitative terms, from engagement to impact of internal channels.

  • Perform regular audits, analyses and reports of all internal group digital channels, countries, business and support functions, in order to propose strategies for continuous improvement or technological breakthrough.

  • Continuous improvement and opportunities for disruption.

Manage and coordinate projects

  • Team manage and project coordinate to ensure respect for quality, cost and delivery times; compliance with financial and purchasing processes; management and monitoring of the use of agencies.

  • In partnership with the Head of Internal Communications Content, manage a network of community managers for the internal social network.

  • Ensure close coordination with countries, business and support functions.

  • Develop and manage communication projects to support the EE & IC strategy.

This position will require strong interactions, alignment and collaboration with many players:

  • In close partnership with the Internal Communication Content Manager

  • Internal Communication Managers

  • The entire Corporate Affairs function

  • Internal and Digital Communication Managers of businesses and countries

  • Leaders of central functions: Quality, HSE, Legal & Compliance, HR, Finance, Digital, etc.

  • Various contacts with Sanofi management.


  • Expertise in event and video production, set up and manage and understanding of technical expectations

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Strong team management experience

  • Broad perspective not limited to internal channels topics

  • Passionate about digital


  • The role is based at Sanofi headquarters located 46 rue La Botie, Paris 8.


The successful candidate will bring the following:

  • High level of education whether in Marketing/Communication/Journalism (BAC+5/Masters).

  • 10-12 years of total professional experience in communication or audiovisual production agencies with a strong experience in production of major events and video / communication tools.

  • Ideally an experience gained in international groups, with complex matrix organizations preferably in agencies, but corporate background can also be considered.

  • Deep expertise in digital communication tools, internal / external social networks, including ideally a previous Community Manager experience.

  • Experience in broad communications responsibilities in order to bring strategic influence, channels strategy.

  • Fluent in French and English.

  • The capacity to interact at senior executive level within the Group.

  • A recognized professional with the potential to be promoted in the short-medium-term within the organization.
