Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been
providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and
Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in
Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort
Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent
nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies,
standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide
professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The
concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for
all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all
times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional
nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent,
safe and professional practice.
Under the direction of a management council member, plans,
organizes, directs, and supervises department programs. Ensures
service excellence development, personnel management, and resource
allocation and control. Assumes direction of participation in
special projects as needed. Coordinates hospital-wide compliance
with state and federal regulations.
Current Texas nursing license or compact.
Five years supervisory or managerial experience.
AHA BLS required at hire.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required
by the facility.
Must be able to identify and competently address needs of
populations served in the Womens, Childrens, Nursery, NICU and
Labor and Delivery care settings.
Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication
Must possess critical thinking skills and sound decision making
and problem solving abilities.
Must be service excellence focused (strong customer service and
team building skills).
