IT Systems EngineerResponsible for the creating, maintaining and administering corporate networks. Primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. Must document all the interactions with detail technical descriptions, root causes and solutions. responsible for taking care of client security updates such as desktop OS patches and hotfixes, desktop anti-virus solutions, hot fixes, cumulative service packs and others.A successful candidate needs a strong understanding of network infrastructure, network hardware and security best practices. Must be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics in non-technical language is a must.IT Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

• Maintaining computer networks including VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
• Designing and implementing Security, Compliance and Identity controls
• Installing and configuring network equipment
• Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
• Implementing disaster recovery procedures
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systemsIT Systems Engineer Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in computer science or information technology
  • Three (3) years of experience in Information Security and/or Networking.
  • Solid understanding of scripting
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
  • Knowledge of information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, CompTIA certifications preferred.
