Job Description: Responsible for leading a Hangar, Dock & Line team consisting with hourly Aircraft Mechanics, working within a bargaining unit, to complete aircraft modification projects.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for day-to-day supervision of assigned team in their assigned roles
• Maintains Team workmanship standards established by Company, Customer Requirements, and FAA Requirements
• Maintains budget controls for work assignments, overtime goals and policies.
• Work with Customer and Government agencies, and their representatives, to ensure Quality Standards.
• Work with other departments within the Company to establish tools, parts, training, test procedures.
• Work with Human Resources to obtain & maintain effective Employee/Labor relationships of the Team and Union.
• Maintain reports needed to keep Management up-to-date as project progresses.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Must have Active Secret Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Understands basic supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution. Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline
  • Must have hands-on aircraft Structural/Electrical experience.
  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, and general aviation electrical knowledge.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of military, commercial, or general aviation aircraft.
  • Position requires the ability and willingness to support any shift. Preferred Additional Skills:
    • FAA A&P License preferred
    • years supervisorial experience with general aviation, military aircraft, or aircraft modifications.
    • A&P License preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
